Rain through my Window
It was monsoon in India.The raindrops splintered as it crashed against my window.The weather was as sulky as the buffaloes that wandered to and fro,brushing there black faces against the plants that drooped under the weight of the crystal clear raindrops.The rushing wind fiercely cut through the swaying trees like soldiers on a battle field. I sat with my hand pressed on my face watching the gloomy surroundings and the clouds that loomed above me.I felt quite disheartened to see that the sun had not pulled in to greet the morning sky.The raindrops rose up again as they splashed on the window sill. People rushed across the roads as the heavy rain drenched their clothes.The birds sat on the rough branches of the trees,preening their soaked feathers. The grey weather soon darkened the sky like a villain.Lights were turned on one by one in the houses,spreading the light out . I was fascinated at the sight of the shines from torches appearing in the distant horizon.It soon wiped the sulle...
