Feeling the Fading Season.

Image
Dear Readers, When I return to my 'World Of Small Things', it seems like returning to a cozy abode ,which in my absence, has turned dusty and grey. I can almost breathe in the whiff of staleness. This little space of mine in the digital ocean is truly a bivouac ,where I rest for a while in this battle called life.  Summing up, I hope this post blows the dust off these old pages. I have not decided any particular direction that my thoughts will follow ,or any point where these words shall terminate. I shall see where my chain of thoughts takes me,for it is truly intriguing to follow undestined paths. That itself is the heart of exploration. I can see the monsoon season readying to bid adios. It is shedding its final tears of goodbye in sprays ,drizzles,out-pours and bursts.  Somehow, the rains failed to mesmerize me this year. At one point I thought my capability to enjoy it has been dampened by the harsh real world. But no. This time the rains were almost m...

Abstract thoughts

Image
Dear readers,  It has been such a long time since letters blotted these pages of pixels. Invisibly these pages have turned dusty, brown and old. I hope these new words will rejuvenate the passion that fuels the 'world of small things'. For the first time, no burning thought is steering my mind.Random abstract thoughts compelled me to write. I guess and hope that this post will induce a feeling of being lost in the undefined beauty of an abstract painting. Scattered and odd, but igniting the flame of thoughts.  Now I stand at the very verge of that voluntary leap into the unknown abyss of the real world. And my feelings are no different from the literal situation. Pumped by adrenaline but bound by the fear of the darkness of the depths below.  There are some things in my life that seem so insignificant, but have a profound effect on me. For example, the view from my window. Those who have read a few of my previous posts are familiar with the fact that my window is like a...

Another Monsoon

I woke up from my daydream....  The hot steam rising from my coffee ended my trance.I sit back and fill my self with the coziness to blend in with the clouded, rainy weather. So here has arrived another monsoon to cleanse the earth,to rejuvenate my mind.Outside as I look through my window,a curtain of raindrops had formed ,obscuring the scenery in a most beautiful way.Its wonderful isn't it when everything becomes more colourful when it is raining?Almost like if an artist is brushing in more colour to his old dusty painting. A drenched mynah flew down gracefully and sat on the concrete beam adjacent to my window. Its feat...

The Beauty of Simplicity.

Image
That's been one of my mantras - focus and simplicity. Simple can be harder than complex: You have to work hard to get your thinking clean to make it simple. But it's worth it in the end because once you get there, you can move mountains. Steve Jobs Simplicity is the ultimate sophistication. Leonardo da Vinci Don' t get me wrong, I admire elegance and have an appreciation of the finer things in life. But to me, beauty lies in simplicity. Mark Hyman = = = = = = = = = = = = = = ============ == = = = = = = = = =  = = = = = = = = = = Life today is complex.Since we now classify sophistication as progress,we can definitely say we ,the human race has progressed indeed. We say we have crossed  gazillion milestones, traversed thorny paths which led to success and have succeeded..... So,what have we achieved?Let us ponder. We have entangled ourselves in a web of complexity. We have created clever flattering masks which efficiently impresses the society and we have re...

A Warm Summers Day

Image
Then he took me to Hogwarts where I stood in a trance seeing the silhouette set against the beautiful summer sun. But when the sun took it first peeks through the blinds ,I realized that harry potter coming and taking me to Hogwarts was another playful creation by the mischievous  abyss of my mind.      Although the sun rays motivated me to get up,the reason I jolted out of bed was because it was the start of the summer vacation. You know,Its not that school is boring that makes us happy in holidays, but the nothing-to-do-feeling has something about itself that makes us feel light.       I prefer to read the newspaper while eating actually although It me makes me eat food slower the dramatic slow motion scenes in Hollywood which I find quite amusing.I flip through the newspaper to the interesting parts like science ,skipping the news of gory accidents(which media nowadays puts right on the front page seeing to ...

The Kalahari

Image
Its  a killer with no conscience  they say, Here the slow and lazy  have to pay  Its dantes blazing inferno,  nothing less nothing more just like hell from folklore shadows run in fear, seeing the vultures in the skies clean and clear The jungle mourns at the animals it once fed, now all stone dead the sand sizzles in the scorching heat once you enter, there is no retreat a place where nature functions to kill to cause utmost destruction.

When Night Settles In

Silence. We have many times heard that silence can work wonders. In between the noises of this restless world, for a minute I shut everything out,In that short period, every second was filled with realization. I thought about many things but something hit me like a boulder. The soft ticking of my wall clock.I realized that time was travelling fast, unstoppable, like west ponentes breath. The absence of silence had dangerously covered up the realization that the 4th dimension was not waiting for us.I shook of the stun that this revelation had cast on me. Many hours passed.Amazingly I never had the same thought about time that i had had in the morning. The sun dimmed like a battery about to empty.I had read the last page of my geography chapter.I have never been able to decipher the reason why only geography made me feel like a kettle boiling dry.The names of places ,their weather, characteristics, etc.have always left my brain in the state of a ball of string after a cat had...
